Full-Service, 250-Room Courtyard by
Marriott Proposed for Harrison Square
Mayor Graham Richard and city
officials today announced a full-service, 250-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel
with a unique urban design is planned to be built in downtown Fort Wayne as part of the Harrison Square development.
"A Courtyard by Marriott will be a great asset for our community and region as
we move forward with Harrison Square," said Mayor Richard. "A successful
privately financed hotel complements the overall Harrison Square development
that will strengthen our community and enable us to retain and gain quality jobs
and businesses.

- Six-story, 250-room hotel
- Approximately 6,000 square feet of meeting room space
- Signature restaurant, bar and coffee shop
- Room service during restaurant hours for hotel patrons
- Indoor pool and fitness center
The Courtyard by Marriott will feature an urban design that will enhance
downtown’s visual landscape. Its welcoming façade will add energy to the
street-level experience.
"The new hotel balances sound fiscal management with amenities to match
convention and visitor expectations," said Mayor Richard. "We are pleased to be

in the country, as we continue to make progress on a great development for
downtown."
Hotel developers Acquest Realty and White Lodging Services are both leaders in
the hospitality industry with specific expertise as premier developers, owners
and operators of leading-brand hotels in multiple segments.
Acquest and White have hotels in Indianapolis, Chicago, Houston, Louisville,
Ky., Austin, Texas, and Trenton, N.J. to name a few. White is also developing a
J. W. Marriott hotel proposed for downtown Indianapolis.
Acquest and White support the overall Harrison Square development and
acknowledge the hotel, Grand Wayne Center, ballpark, condominiums, and retail will create a
unique visitor and local destination place.
