13th - Deadline for Hotel proposals to be submitted
to the city of Fort Wayne. One proposal was submitted by
White Lodging Services Corp.,
and Acquest Realty Advisors
Inc., to construct and operate a full-service Marriott Hotel.

The Palace Restaurant purchased for $2.4 million. City
officials state they will actually save almost $1.5 million on the
construction of the parking garage. The reason: instead of
having to protect the Palace during construction and instead of
having to build the garage around the restaurant, it will be built
in a rectangle.

option had been given by the city to remain open for a transition
