North River Development

In January 2007, the City paid $25,000 for an
option to purchase the
OmniSource property
on the West side of Clinton Street opposite
Science Central and
Lawton Park. If the city
exercises the option, they will purchase the land for $4.3 million.
The North River Development Task Force met for the
first time on April 27, 2007. The group
is charged with examining the possibility of a
Youth Sports Complex and other options, including
housing, retail and the possibility of locating the proposed FWCS
Science and Technology Center.
